Reuters poll: ECB, BOE to stay on hold next week

 

All but 1 of 70 say ECB will hold refi and deposit rates at next meeting. No-one sees BOE changing policy next week, though 38 of 50 say more QE is needed from BOE.

 

Most economists polled say forward guidance would be top preferred policy option.

 

With another round of EU economic data next week before the ECB meeting, the continuation of better figures will knock what little calls there are for rate cuts right out the park.
